At Kal Tire, we care as much about your tires as we do about the places they’ll go and the people they’ll carry.
Since the beginning—when we opened our first store in Vernon, BC, in 1953—Kal Tire has been committed to building a strong company as well as a strong community for our team members and customers.
Today, we’re in cities and towns stretching from Victoria to the border of Quebec. To show our thanks and support the communities that have helped Kal Tire grow, our team members are always looking for ways to make a difference.
Across Canada, we support hundreds of local organizations, we engage our teams in fundraising, and we give youth opportunities to learn skills and lead healthy, active lives.
At Kal Tire, supporting the community is just a part of our culture.
Kal Tire has been a strong supporter of Kids Help Phone since 2010.
Over the years, we have had hundreds of team members raise funds for Kids Help Phone by participating in their annual, national fundraiser, the Walk So Kids Can Talk Presented by BMO. Read more.

Celebrating and Giving Back
To celebrate Kal Tire’s 60th anniversary in 2013, team members across Canada got together to raise money and give back to their communities. In BC, this included working with Tire Stewardship BC to fund the resurfacing of 6 playgrounds (one for every decade of business) with recycled rubber from BC tires.
