We have been faithful customers of Kal Tire for a number of years, particularly the location on 5810- 99 St in Edmonton. I am writing to update you on the excellent service that we receive whenever we visit this location. Not being a very auto mechanical person, I have often relied on the advice of the automotive experts to solve issues or maintain our two vehicles. These experts at this Kal Tire location have been incredibly helpful. This email has been on the drawing board for a very long time as I felt it was very important to send kudos when required. Well, having four busy children, time slides by and things get put onto the back burner or get forgotten altogether. Today, having stopped by this Kal Tire location to ask a question, I found myself needing to write this email and to stop putting it off. The service I received from Brandon and Brian was once again top notch. They have assisted me many times before and are never condescending to someone who is not automotively inclined.
I have purchased a number of sets of tires from this Kal Tire location and had our vehicles serviced, but it really started to sink in the summer of 2012, as I came in to get my Nokian all-weather tires checked for wear. I knew they were getting worn and with an upcoming driving holiday to Whitehorse and Alaska, I wanted to make sure that my tires would be good and reliable for this long trip, especially when the services are quite far apart. Well, it was recommended that I replace my tires. The explanation was that they would likely not channel the water properly if we were hit by a heavy Alberta rainstorm which could result in our van hydroplaning. I proceeded with the purchase of new Nokian tires. We then headed to our daughter’s Provincial soccer championships in Calgary a few days later. On the way back to Edmonton we were hit with a very significant rainstorm that left the visibility to almost zero and the roads pooled with water. It was a difficult drive, but I was very relieved to know that we had proper tires for the conditions. One week later we headed out on our trip to the Yukon. I had a slight adjustment made on the tires and required the lug nuts to be tightened after 150 km. We stopped at the Stony Plain Kal Tire to get the lug nuts tighten and received prompt and courteous service once again. As we made our way through Grande Prairie, Dawson Creek (coincidently, Kal Tire was right across the street from our motel), Fort St. John, Ft Nelson and all the way to Whitehorse, there were Kal Tires at all stops, what a relief to see! It made our long trip more relaxing knowing that there was always a Kal Tire nearby. Fortunately we made the 5600km without any troubles. We did require some windshield service in Fort St. John on the way home and once again the staff at Kal Tire recommended a windshield repair place. It actually became part of our trip, trying to spot the Kal Tire store.
More recently, our vehicles were in need of some servicing this past summer and once again I headed to our favorite Kal Tire. I was assisted by Brandon and Brian. Brian did the actual servicing on our vehicles. He is very thorough and helpful and took the time to explain what he found and any other recommendations. It was truly appreciated. Being able to find a group that you can trust when it comes to automotive repairs can be difficult. I do trust the staff at Kal Tire and appreciate all that they have done to keep our vehicles operating well. Having 4 kids playing hockey and having to travel all over for games and tournaments, it is essential to know that our vehicles are running properly. It is peace of mind.
Even though this letter is far too late in being sent, I hope you know that the positive impressions I have for Kal Tire continue to grow.
Thanks particularly to the gang at the 5810 – 99St location and to Kal Tire for the great and personable service.
